MID-MORNING SESSION

Resiliency

Through our extensive efforts supporting hundreds of nursing homes throughout the pandemic, Healthcentric Advisors (New Hampshire’s Quality Improvement Organization-QIO) has gathered an array of practices adopted by providers that lead to a strong, resilient culture. These “good ideas”, put into practice, can make a difference as providers grapple with short staffing, census issues and financial challenges. Join us as we share from the experiences of innovative providers.

In this session, participants will:

  1. Discover ways in which their peers have adopted practices and innovative ideas making them resilient and stronger in the face of historically challenging times

  2. Share ideas from their own experience

  3. Discover resources and tools that can support change

LATE MORNING SESSION

OSHA Proposed Workplace Violence Protocols

Acts-of-Violence in healthcare have always been a concern for employees and the organizations that they serve. The trend has not diminished as a result of attempts to deter and resolve these threats, rather, its grown. As a result, OSHA is proposing and considering new protocol and regulation to resolve employee security through the Workplace Violence Protection Program – a program that, if initiated, could cost you thousands of dollars and a great deal of time and effort.

This session will outline not only the details of the program and its components, but what you can do to not only meet the requirements, but exceed them, in less time and cost than what OSHA is estimating.

Regardless of whether the OSHA WVPP becomes mandate, or not, you likely have a high-level interest in keeping your employees secure. This session will provide you with solutions that are highly effective, practical, simple to implement, and very cost effective.

This includes those who may be at risk of diversion. This presentation will review prevention strategies, signs and symptoms of drug use, and suggestions for a plan of action for when there is a question or confirmation of drug diversion in a healthcare professional with the goal of best outcome for all involved.
