  5. Find your legislator by clicking the appropriate "Who is my...?" button above

  6. RAISE YOUR VOICE!
Make a phone call (preferred), email them, or if there is time, send a letter.  If you have an opportunity - meet with them face-to-face!

  7. Tell US you Raised Your Voice by filling out this simple form.

An example:

TALKING POINTS  Under funding of long-term care prevents us from properly reimbursing staff for care.  This, combined with fear of COVID-19 has exacerbated the workforce crisis.

YOUR STORY:  Our facility needs more licensed nursing assistants, but our pay scale cannot compete with local retail and food service who are able to pay higher wages and offset with higher costs for the consumer.  We have lost 25% of our LNAs to higher paying positions that require less training and aren't on the front lines of the pandemic.
THE ASK:  Long-term care MUST receive a funding increase.  Quality care starts with quality caregivers - we need funding so that we can attract talented individuals who will care for the residents who trust us with their lives!  Assure adequate reimbursement for long-term care.

You will note that we don't provide written "templates" for you to use.  A simple UNIQUE voice with a personal touch is more impressive than multiple complex cloned messages.  In this case - we want Voices Raised in HARMONY rather than in unison!
