In week 2 (May 17-23) we want to reach out to the Senate Finance Committee and make sure they understand the challenges that long-term care facilities are facing. Make sure they understand the successes that you've made in the face of these challenges and that they understand that in order to continue offering high quality care you need their support - in the form of appropriate reimbursement in the state budget AND funding from the American Recovery Act Funds.

Can you educate your residents on the issues and invite them to reach out to legislators?
Can you hold a family council meeting (in person OR on Zoom) and provide information and facts, inviting them to reach out to legislators?
Can you ask staff members or peers to educate themselves on the issues and reach out to legislators?
