Great Leadership is enhanced by an understanding of the psychological principles of leader development. The purpose of this program is to introduce attendees to the psychology of leadership and the development of emerging leaders. The program will cover leadership theory as well as discuss individual definition of leadership as it applies to your business and industry; leadership models; contextual and situational issues related to leadership, organization and team goals. Issues around effective leadership practices during the process of organizational change will be discussed.

 

This program will include theories of leadership, leadership styles, qualities of great leaders, and assessments used to assess a person’s leadership abilities. Attendees who apply and integrate this program information will enhance their understanding of their own capacity for leadership. Leadership is a process that involves change and effort and this program will enhance the person’s ability to self-manage and lead others. Dr. Linda Talley knows firsthand what a transformational effect understanding leadership theory and the other 90% of the communication process has on a person. From her experience as a marketing manager in multi-level hospital systems, Dr. Talley knows the inadequacy of the verbal communication process that reduces performance and productivity. As an entrepreneur and business owner since 1989, Dr. Talley clearly understands the link between understanding and utilizing 100% the communication process for profitability. She began sharing this "insider's look" at effective communication strategies for leaders when she made the leap from corporate executive to entrepreneur. In 1991, Linda founded Linda Talley & Associates, a company offering keynotes and business coaching to transform the way people communicate with their employees and their customers. Since that time, she has delivered over 1000 presentations for more than 400 clients in the United States, Canada, and the Far East. Dr. Talley walks the talk.
